PWstudio workflow function verification

Once installation is complete, we recommend running through this simple test workflow first to confirm that the whole environment (container, license, web interface) is working correctly, before starting your real calculation work.

Open a web browser (Chrome or Edge recommended) and go to Qflow (i.e. the http://[host IP] address mentioned in earlier chapters, and log in with your own account and password)

Follow these steps in order:

Click "Simulate" → select the "test" project → create a workflow → enter a workflow name, e.g. "test"
 
In the workspace, click "Workflow Structure" → drag in "Self-Consistent Calculation" → connect "Structure Import" to "Self-Consistent Calculation"
 
Structure Import → Import from structure library → System structure library → select a structure file, e.g. Si8 → Confirm → Close
 
Self-Consistent Calculation → Parameter Settings → Save → Close → Save → Submit → wait for the calculation to finish
 
Self-Consistent Calculation → View Details → calculation results

Every step above is done with mouse clicks and drag-and-drop on the web page — no commands need to be typed. This test case (a single self-consistent calculation on the Si8 structure) is a very small workload, and normally finishes within a few minutes. If the last step, “View Details,” shows calculation results (e.g. a total energy value), then the whole environment is set up correctly, and you can go ahead and start your own calculations with confidence.

If it shows “queued” for a long time after submitting, or produces an error, check the FAQ chapter, or search the error message with an AI tool.
